Banana Bread Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 3-4 ripe bananas
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups AP flour
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the bananas in a large bowl. Stir in melted butter until smooth.
  3. Add sugar, egg, and vanilla and mix well.
  4. Sprinkle in cinnamon, pumpkin pie slice, baking soda and salt. Stir gently.
  5. Add the flour and mix until just combined (don’t overmix).
  6. Fold in chocolate chips if making chocolate chip banana bread.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool slightly before slicing and enjoying.
