In a large pot or skillet, brown the maple sausage and ground beef together over medium heat. Drain any excess grease.
Add the chopped onion, sliced sweet peppers, and garlic. Sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
Stir in Montreal steak seasoning, Italian spice, and black pepper.
Pour in the tomato sauce and optional spaghetti seasoning. Stir well and let the homemade spaghetti sauce simmer on low for 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti noodles according to package directions.
Serve the sauce over noodles and garnish with fresh parsley or grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
