FAQ

Why are my cookies flat?
Usually it’s because the butter was too soft or melted. Try chilling the dough for 20 minutes before baking next time.
Can I freeze the dough?
Absolutely! Scoop into dough balls and freeze on a tray. Once solid, transfer to a bag. Bake straight from frozen, just add 1–2 extra minutes to the baking time.
What kind of chocolate chips should I use?
It’s totally up to you! I love using a mix of semi-sweet and milk chocolate, but dark chocolate chunks are amazing too.
Can I make these gluten-free?
Yes! substitute with a 1:1 gluten-free flour blend. I love Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Flour!

make them your own!

Add crushed pretzels or toffee bits for a sweet-salty twist.
Stir in some peanut butter chips for a Reese’s vibe.
Use browned butter for a deeper, nutty flavor (trust me on this one).
Turn them into ice cream sandwiches… perfect for summer nights!
